Giuseppe Santangelo is a distinguished leader in the aerospace and high-tech industries. He is the Co-founder and CEO of Space Industries SpA, a multinational company specializing in satellite and spacecraft production, driving innovation in the global space economy.
Previously, he founded and served as CEO of Skypersonic Inc., a UAV firm that merged with Red Cat Holdings and went public on NASDAQ (RCAT). Under his leadership, Skypersonic introduced groundbreaking drone technologies, including the Skycopter and a GPS-free transatlantic remote piloting platform.
In 2023, Giuseppe became Managing Director at Terran Orbital’s Tyvak International, guiding its strategic growth. He also held key leadership roles at Teoresi Group and Alten USA, where he drove international expansion, M&A activities, and substantial revenue growth.
His aerospace contributions include leading critical projects for ESA and NASA at Thales Alenia Space, earning NASA awards in 2001 and 2003 for his role in designing ISS Nodes 2 and 3.
Academically, Giuseppe has taught at institutions like Wayne State University, Lawrence Technological University, and the Polytechnic of Turin, covering subjects such as Autonomous Vehicles and Space System Engineering.
He holds MSME & BSME degrees from the University of Catania and studied Astronautical Engineering at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza.’ His work includes numerous publications and patents in aerospace technology and AI.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Giuseppe enjoys jazz piano, science fiction, and has explored AI since developing his first neural network in 1996.
